What we do & how
SwissRPG is a Swiss non profit association (Verein) with the mission to enable people to discover and play tabletop role playing games all over country. We are registered in Zürich, Switzerland.
Below is our Terms of Service for our “Platform”, which means any website, application, event or service we offer. We tried to make this document as clear and transparent as possible. We welcome your questions and feedback in the contact form you can find at the bottom of this page.
By using any of our Platforms (e.g. this website, our Discord server, our Meetup groups, etc.), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions (T&Cs).
We may modify our T&Cs from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
All content, images, and other marketing materials listed on this website and other SwissRPG Platforms, unless specified otherwise, are copyrights of SwissRPG. Content provided by Game Masters for their games are not property of SwissRPG. All copyrighted content may not be sold, redistributed or given away.
No warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide our services as-is. This means that, except as expressly stated in these Terms, we don’t provide warranties, conditions, or undertakings of any kind in relation to our services, either express or implied.
To the full extent permitted by applicable law, you agree not to hold us or our team responsible for anything that happens related to interactions with third parties, member interactions, or in connection with any events we publish. You also agree not to hold organizers and Game Masters responsible for their negligence in connection with their content or event.
We and our team are not liable for any content, actions or behavior of the people that are part of the community. By being part of our community and accepting these Terms, you accept full responsibility of your actions and are liable and responsible for them.
You agree to indemnify and hold us and our Team harmless from any losses, including legal fees and expenses that directly or indirectly result from any claims you make that aren’t allowed under these Terms due to a limitation of liability or other provision. (Indemnity is an agreement to compensate someone for a loss.) You also agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any losses, including legal fees and expenses, that directly or indirectly result from your content, your use of our services, your violation of any laws or regulations, third-party claims that you or someone using your account(s) did something that, if true, would violate any of these Terms, any misrepresentations made by you, or a breach of any representations or warranties you’ve made to us.
Your content & use of our platforms
You are responsible for the Content you post on our platforms or send to us. You give us a license to use this Content within the scope of our services (e.g. publish your game on Meetup). We use the word “Content” to mean the information, material, and any other content that you post.
By being responsible for your Content, you agree, among other things, that:
- You have all the permissions, rights, and licenses needed (including under copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights) to provide the Content to our Platforms;
- Your Content does not include personal, private or confidential information belonging to others; and
- Your Content does not otherwise violate the rights of any individual or entity.
We do not claim ownership of your Content. However, to enable us to operate, and to ensure we do not violate any rights you may have in your Content, you hereby grant SwissRPG a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable right and license (including a waiver of any moral rights) to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, publish, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, and create derivative works of, your Content and to exploit the copyright, trademark, publicity, and database rights you have in your Content. This license would permit your Content to remain on our Platforms, even after you cease to be part of our community or of our Platforms.
SwissRPG does not control the Content of others. When we become aware of inappropriate Content on our Platform, we reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, but we do not have any obligation to monitor, nor do we take responsibility for, the Content of others.
Private games between Game Masters and players are considered private events. Although SwissRPG facilitates these games from happening, we are not a party to any offline arrangements made through our Platforms. We do not conduct or require background checks on users and do not attempt to verify the truth or accuracy of statements made by them. We make no representations or warranties concerning the conduct or Content of any users or their interactions with you. SwissRPG is not liable or responsible for any accidents and damages caused during these private games.
SwissRPG Champion program
Akin to Patreon or Ko-fi, the SwissRPG Champion program allows you to commit to donate monthly or yearly sums to the SwissRPG Association.
Donations under the Champion program are pure donations. They are not membership fees to become a member of the Association.
Donations under the Champion program are not purchase for specific rewards. The primary goal of the donations is to support the Association. The rewards are additional “cherry on top” thank you gifts from us.
You can cancel your Champion subscription at any time by contacting us with the form below. Please provide your full name and email address for this. Your subscription will continue until the end of the period you have paid for.
We reserve the right to change the tiers and rewards of the Champion program at any time. We will usually inform you of this change by email.
All donations are final. We do not issue refunds.
SwissRPG Merch Shop
Spreadshirt is the Platform we use to sell our merchandise.
Spreadshirt charges a base cost for their products. SwissRPG charges a margin on top of that in order to make a profit on every purchase.
All profit made through our merchandise sales, as any other revenue generated, is reinvested within the Association to achieve our goals.
